About Sara

Sara is a writer, author, story editor and creative director with twenty years of experience. Since graduating from the Radio and Televisions Arts program at The Toronto Metropolitan University Sara has worked as a script doctor and story editor for the feature films, Milton’s Secret, and Little Italy and helped create and develop the TV Series, Our Family Vacation.  

Sara is also a published author with her first novel, The Purple Raccoon, out now and her second novel, Do You Know Who Killed Me?, releasing March 31st.  Sara also created and self-published a line of mystery activity books for kids called, The Junior Detective Agency and created the ‘Party Like a Monster’ line of picture books with her son. 

Sara is an advertising writer and creative director specializing in toys and family products through her company WhirlyGig Creative Inc and has been featured as a ‘family fun’ and travel expert on TV and podcasts across Canada.

Sara is also the mother to an Autistic 8-year-old and is actively working to bring acceptance and inclusion to the forefront in her creative work and with her new not-for-profit, the True Inclusion Foundation, which strives to make public places, businesses and attractions more inclusive for people with disabilities.
